The plain-English version of what you're agreeing to when you play.
This is a practical first draft, written to describe the product honestly — it has not been reviewed by counsel.
What this is (and isn't)
Fated Truths is a conversation and entertainment product. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, or crisis advice, and its reflective patterns are not a diagnosis or a compatibility score.
If you or your partner are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or another appropriate professional resource — not this app.
Voluntary participation
Playing is entirely voluntary. Either person can pass a card, skip a topic, or stop a session at any time, for any reason, without needing to explain themselves.
Your exported data and pairing codes
You're responsible for how you use or share anything you export from the app and for who you give your pairing code to. Treat both like you would any private, personal information about your relationship.
No guarantees
We don't promise any particular relationship outcome, and we don't promise the service will always be available or uninterrupted. Fated Truths is provided as-is, in good faith, and as a tool — not a result.
Intellectual property
The app, this website, and every original prompt, piece of copy, and brand asset within them are owned by Fated Truths (or licensed to it). You're welcome to use the product for its intended purpose; you don't get a license to copy, republish, or redistribute the prompts, copy, or brand assets elsewhere.
Prohibited use
Please don't:
- Access another couple's paired data or attempt to guess or misuse pairing codes that aren't yours.
- Interfere with the service — including attempts to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer it.
- Scrape or bulk-extract prompts or other content from the app or site.
Termination and pair data
Fated Truths doesn't use conventional accounts — pairing is anonymous and tied to a device and pair code rather than an identity. Because of that:
- Pair data may be removed if a pairing is abandoned, unused for an extended period, or removed at either participant's request.
- We may suspend or remove access to synced features for use that violates these terms, such as the prohibited uses above.
- Deleting the app or your local data ends your use of local features immediately; see the privacy policy for how to request cloud data deletion.
